Miljan Bjeletić, MA

Miljan Bjeletić (b. 1973) completed his accordion studies at the prestigious P. I. Tchaikovsky Music Conservatory in Kyiv, Ukraine, in the class of Prof. Dr N. A. Davidov, earning his Master's degree in 1998. During his undergraduate and postgraduate studies he performed at renowned international competitions — winning a bronze medal at the 1995 World Cup in Sweden as the selected representative of FR Yugoslavia, and the Grand Prix (First Prize) at an international competition in France in 1997.

His pedagogical work has earned international recognition. Over years of teaching, his pupils and students have won more than 200 prizes at competitions at home and abroad. His students have concertised across Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia, Lithuania, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Latvia and China, and have been laureates of the most prestigious international competitions — the World Cup and the World Trophy, in Pula, Castelfidardo and Klingenthal — contributing greatly to the affirmation of the accordion in Serbia. He has performed and taught at seminars in Serbia, France, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Lithuania, Poland and Latvia, and regularly serves as a jury member representing Serbia at leading international and world competitions.

In 2004 the Association of Music and Ballet Pedagogues of Serbia honoured him for his achieved results, and in 2008 the Association of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia recognised his many years of pedagogical work. He is also a laureate of the Certificate of the Higher League of the World's Accordionists (Kyiv, 2007) and holder of the Diploma of the Dr Miloje Milojević Music School (2008) for his outstanding contribution to the development of the music school in Kragujevac. He currently holds the title of Associate Professor for the principal subject — Accordion.
