What we collect, why we need it, and how long we keep it.
Your name, date of birth, country, email address and phone number; the identity document and, for entrants under 18, the parental consent you upload; your programme; your payment record; and your official recording.
To confirm you are eligible for the category you entered, to match your payment to your entry, to let the jury score your performance anonymously, and to publish the results. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Identity documents and parental consents are stored in a private bucket that only the organiser can open, through links that expire within about a minute. Every access is logged. These documents are never shown to the jury.
If you filled in the invitation page for accordion teachers, we hold the name, email address, country, school and student estimate you gave us, and the campaign tag from the link you followed. We use it only to plan the competition and to write to you when entries open. We do not sell it or pass it on. Ask us at the address on the contact page and we will delete your entry — there is nothing to keep once you say so.
Account data sits in a managed Postgres database in the EU. Recordings sit in object storage. Card payments will be handled by Stripe, which is not live yet — we never see or store card details.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it after the competition closes. Write to the address on the contact page and we will answer within 30 days.
