The academy
The Balkan Music Academy exists to pass on the music of Serbia and the wider Balkans from one generation to the next, wherever in the world that generation grows up.
The Balkan Music Academy was founded out of care and love for music and for the accordion, not out of ambition: so that the music of Serbia and of the wider Balkans is passed on by its own recognisable method, from one generation to the next, with the chain of knowledge growing stronger with every new generation — wherever in the world that generation grows up. The Academy opens new possibilities for its students by following today's digital tendencies: online, for everyone, anywhere.
Borko Radivojević — Founder and director of the Balkan Music Academy
It follows today's digital tendencies to do that: teaching online, open to everyone, anywhere.
It also organises the World Grand Prix, and takes no part in scoring it: the jury sees an entry code, a category and a programme, never a name and never a teacher.
The competition is the part you can enter. Applications are open to participants from all countries.
Entries close on 2 May 2027.
