Programme requirements

Stage I

Recorded online

One Baroque work
Two pieces of contrasting character and style

At least one original work for the accordion must be included. One of the pieces may be a single movement from a cyclic work.

Playing time: maximum 15 minutes

Recording deadline: 1 May 2027

Stage II

Recorded online

At least two pieces, one of which must be an original work for the accordion

All competitors advance to Stage II. Complete cyclic works or a selection of movements may be played.

Playing time: maximum 15 minutes

Recording deadline: 1 June 2027

Every stage is recorded online, in one official recording per stage, by the deadline stated for it. The stated playing time may be exceeded by no more than 2 minutes.

Rhythmic and tonal stability
Musicality appropriate to the age
Overall impression of the performance
